Granthams are an awesome Blackpool based graphics and art supplies company. They are my main supplier for all my art materials and I have been using their quality own brand canvases and sketchbooks for some time.
Granthams was originally a sign making business founded in 1890. Having been the principal sign-writing business in Blackpool, they would have made the signage for entertainment venues such as The Grand Theatre and many more across the area. They have been supplying art supplies to artists in Blackpool for over 100 years and, since the internet, have been inspiring artists nationwide!
My connection with Granthams goes back to 2008, before I ever dreamt of moving to Blackpool. I was at the Tower Circus rehearsing for a circus tour around the east and south coast and prepping my Speed Painting act. I bought an easel and a large stack of paper from Granthams with which to paint Charlie Chaplin nightly during the circus tour I was about to embark on!
